Shwapno comes forward to support Garo people amid Covid-19 in Savar
Many have lost their jobs which is making them suffer both financially and health wise.
Retail chain store Shwapno has come forward to support the members of Garo community in Ganakbari and its adjacent areas in Ashulia, Savar amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The superstore shop came forward to support 60 families of the community, most of whom are passing through difficult times financially after losing their jobs amid this Covid-19 crisis, a press release said on Saturday.
Abul Khair Consumer Products also sponsored milk for the Garo community children in this initiative taken by Shwapno.
The chain store owned by ACI Logistics has also taken the initiative to provide jobs for those who became unemployed after the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.
Shwapno Executive Director Sabbir Hasan Nasir said: “There are many children in the Garo community whose bone structures could be seen because of malnutrition due to not being able to get proper food supply, therefore I, along with our partner institutions ,came forward to support them.
“We are trying to support as much we can and will do in the coming future,” he added.
