Regional Workshop of Farm Mechanization Project held at Rangpur
The government is continuously striving hard with a vision to develop and accelerate the agriculture sector of Bangladesh. In the meantime, the Farm Mechanization Project of BDT 3,020 crore has already been started. As part of this project, a regional workshop was conducted on 27 February 2021 at the auditorium of Rangpur District Council to inform the participants about the plan of this project. In the workshop, Md. Mesbahul Islam, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture was present as the chief guest. Md Asadullah, Director-General, Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) was present as the special guest. Moreover, Md. Benojir Alam, Project Director, Farm Mechanization Project, and other higher officials of DAE were present in the program. At the workshop, ACI Motors, the leading agricultural machinery supplier of the country, displayed the Japanese Yanmar Combine Harvester along with other modern agricultural machinery.
The displayed machinery included Japanese rice and wheat cutting, threshing, cleaning, and bagging machine Yanmar Combine Harvester and transplanting machine Yanmar Rice Transplanter. Besides, Yanmar Service Express Van displayed how it would provide on-the-spot service in Haor and, other areas of the country.
