Dhaka University has unveiled 1971 - University Martyrs' Memorial Stone and restoration work of Oporajeo Bangla

The restoration work of the Oporajeo Bangla, the Memorial Stone in remembrance of the 1971-Dhaka University Martyrs and beautification of the surrounding area of the Art Faculty was formally opened on 28 November 2017.

This programme was inaugurated by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman and Chairman of ACI Limited, Mr. M Anis ud Dowla. Professor Shibli Rubayatul Islam, Dean of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, Prof. Dr. Abu Md. Delowar Hossain, Dean of Art Faculty along with different department teachers and students were also present there.

Youth is the future of the country. They are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the partners of today. Young people are social actors of change and progress. They are a crucial segment of a nation development.

ACI strongly believes that today’s youth must be empowered economic citizens, capable of understanding the importance of saving and equipped with the skills to be employed and create their own livelihoods. This is possible through inculcating in them proper education, interest in the country’s history, heritage and sense of respect for the National Heroes.
