ACI Organized “Bake It Best”-Showcasing Evolution of Bangladesh Baking Industry

ACI Pure Flour has organized ‘Bake it Best’ – A seminar on Evolution of Baking Industry of Bangladesh and showcasing Bangladesh Baking Industry on 27 September 2018 at ACI Centre with the joint collaboration of High Commission of Canada and Canadian International Grains Institute (CIGI).

Bangladesh Baking Industry has been evolved greatly over last few decades. ACI believes, the contribution of the companies working in Bangladesh baking industry is enormous. The objective of this seminar was to showcase the evolution of Bangladesh baking industry and to create a platform flourishing experiences of local bakers, bread & biscuit manufacturers and to recognize their contribution.

Representatives from countries leading bakeries, confectionaries, hotels, restaurants such as Olympic Industries Ltd., Orient Food Co., Nestle Bangladesh Limited, Haque Brothers Ltd., Kollol Thai President Foods, Pran RFL Group, New Zealand Dairy Products BD Ltd., Deko Foods, Globe Biscuits & Dairy Milk Ltd, Square Food & Beverage Ltd., DAN Cake, Nabisco Biscuit and Bread Factory, Romania Food and Beverage, etc. attended the seminar and shared their views with the experts and asked their queries.

His Excellency, Mr. Corinne Petrisor, Counselor (Commercial Affairs) and senior Trade Commissioner, High Commission of Canada & A specialized team from CIGI Ms. Yvonne Supeene, Head, Baking Technology of CIGI,

Mr. Ashok K. Sarkar, Senior Advisor, Technology, Ms. Esey Assefaw, Head, Asian Products and Pasta Technology, Ms. Kristina Pizzi, Head, Analytical Services, Norbert Cabral, Technician, Milling Technology, have shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants.

The participants shared about their journey over the decades in development of baking industry of the country and current challenges they are facing to take the industry in next level. ACI recognized the contribution of Bangladeshi Bakers for upholding the spirit in developing baking industries of Bangladesh. CIGI experts presented the recent trend, development of baking technology over the world and suggested future changes that might effective for Bangladeshi baking industries.

Mr. Syed Alamgir, Managing Director inaugurated the program. Mr. Anup Kumar Saha, Business Director, Mr. Moinur Rahman, Business Manager and Mr. Abanti Kumar Sarker, General Manager, Institution sales, were also present in the program.
